Main Attractions
The 108-meter Nanshan Sea Guanyin stands on the coast and is the tallest white-robed Guanyin statue in the world. It has three faces: one holding a lotus (peace), one holding a sutra (wisdom), and one holding prayer beads (compassion). The statue has nine internal levels; an elevator takes visitors to the top (separate ticket required). At its base is the 15,000-square-meter Yuantong Hall, home to many Buddha statues. The statue is connected to land by the 200-meter Puji Bridge. Prayer ceremonies are held daily at 9:00, 11:00, and 15:00.
Nanshan Temple is the largest Buddhist temple in Hainan. Other highlights include the Entrance Gate (Buer Famen), the Golden Jade Guanyin Pavilion (housing a golden jade Guanyin statue), and Longevity Valley, known for its high negative ion content and wellness theme. The park is home to over 3,000 bodhi trees.
The zone also features a 7-kilometer coastal sandbar covered with wild tamarind trees, a unique ecological landscape.
Suggested Route
A recommended walking route covers the main sites in order: North Gate → Buer Famen → Dishui Jingping → Chenglu Pavilion → Golden Jade Guanyin → Buddha Hall → Nanshan Temple → Longwuye Wealth Hall → Sea Guanyin → Mifa Guihua Hall. The area is large, so consider taking the sightseeing electric cart, which stops at major attractions and is especially useful for elderly visitors or those with limited time.

The zone opens at 8:00 and closes at 17:30 (last entry at 17:00). Arrive early to avoid crowds and allow at least half a day. The electric cart is available for a fee and is recommended due to the size of the park.
Avoid buying incense from vendors outside the zone; free incense sticks are available inside for prayer. A vegetarian meal at the park's dining hall is a popular experience.
