Guilingyang National Tropical Agriculture Park Scenic Area is a combined ecological, agricultural and cultural-tourism destination in the Jiangdong New Area. Visitors can explore smart greenhouse growing, pick seasonal fruit and try traditional Hainan crafts. A typical visit takes 2 to 4 hours.
Getting There
Take bus routes 207, 218 or 68 and get off at the Guilingyang Agriculture Park stop, which is right at the park. Bus route K8 also stops at the Guilingyang Agriculture Park stop.
The scenic area has a free car park with plenty of spaces; drivers can navigate to Guilingyang National Tropical Agriculture Park. Traffic is heavier on public holidays, so arriving early is advised for easier parking.
What to See and Do
The park is planned as a high-quality ecological green heart for the Jiangdong New Area, a tropical agriculture demonstration zone and a rural culture and tourism experience area, bringing ecology, farming and cultural tourism together in one destination.
At the Nostalgia Workshop, six intangible cultural heritage craft experiences are offered, including enamel hairpins, mother-of-pearl hairpins and water-marbled lacquer fans. These crafts showcase local Hainan skills, and visitors can take part on site.
You can also explore soilless cultivation technology in the smart glass greenhouse and pick seasonal fruit in the tropical orchard, a fun way for families to experience technology-driven farming. Fruit picking is available in the park, with plump, fresh produce such as blueberries, cherry tomatoes and cucumbers for visitors to pick on site, suitable for families with children. Available varieties and opening arrangements are subject to the park's announcements on the day.
Practical Information
Standard opening hours are 09:00-17:30 all year (according to the Baidu Baike entry). A self-media post dated 2 October 2025 noted that during a National Day themed event the park opened daily from 10:00 to 22:00; this was a temporary extended schedule for a festival event, not the regular opening hours. As event times change with the season and performance schedules, check the latest notices on official channels such as the park's website and official account before you travel.
Children 1.2 metres and under (inclusive), active-duty military personnel, firefighters and similar groups receive free admission with valid ID; children must be accompanied by an adult.
A birthday benefit is offered: visitors born on 1 May can present their own ID card to receive one free same-day orchard package ticket. This offer is exclusive to that birth date; how to collect it and whether it continues are subject to the park's announcements on the day.
From 30 December 2023 to 1 January 2024, visitors with a ticket or e-ticket for the 2023-2024 Hunan TV New Year's Eve gala could enjoy a special price on the park's daytime "Happy Little Farmer" experience activity, priced per group (including either one adult and two children or two adults and one child); check current prices on the partner channel. This was a benefit for a specific event period, and whether it continues is subject to the park's announcements.
